The 2018 Japanese National Championship was celebrated, from October 30st to November 5th in Saga, Japan during the Saga International Balloon Fiesta. The winner was the Ultramagic pilot Yudai Fugita. The 1st, 2nd 4th 5th 6th 8th 9th and the 10th place were occupied by Racer Balloons by Ultramagic.

The 2018 Catalan Championship was celebrated, from September 28th to September 30th in Agramunt, Catalonia. The winner was Carles Figueras. The rest of the podium was completed with Neus Lladó, in the second place, and Jordi Diaz as a third classified.

From September 19 to September 25, Saudi Arabia celebrated its 88th National Day with 3 nightglows in Jawatha Park. There were 16 new balloons representing the regions and a special shape, all manufactured in Ultramagic.
