Belgian National Hot Air Balloon Championship 2009. Congratulations from the Worldwide Ultramagic Team.

Congratulations from the worldwide Ultramagic team to Steven Vlegels on coming first and winning the 2009 Belgian National Hot Air Balloon Championship held in Izier-Durby between May 20 and May 24.

Steven won flying the red Cock’s Ultramagic Racer.

Congratulations also to Philip De Cock who came 3rd flying his new black Cock’s Ultramagic Racer.

Although there were only a small number of competitors it was a very exciting championship with the winner only being decided during the last flight. The result was very tight with only 800 points between the top three places. There were 17 tasks set with the top three pilots winning 12 of these.

Quotes from Philip De Cock:

"Steven has won after a great achievement, Jan Timmers is second, and I’m (unfortunately) third. :-)). It was a very good competition but unfortunately a bit of bad luck has kept me in third place. Steven was very good, and as usual the best is winning."

A strongly contested Belgian National Championship completing 17 tasks.
