Ultramagic UK – Change of dealer

Ultramagic announce the change of the dealer in the UK.

Tim Revel is retiring as Ultramagic UK dealer as from 31 December 2011.
Tim is also retiring from ballooning after many years as an active pilot. Tim with his wife Hilary have been looking after UK Ultramagic balloon sales for 12 years and in that time have done a fantastic job of building up a strong customer base against hard competition from the local manufacturers.  The superb customer service they provided was the secret of their success. We thank them for their fantastic work for Ultramagic and wish them all the best for their future.

Richard Penney will be taking over from Tim as UK dealer from January 1.  Richard, a professional businessman, is an active balloonist who owns a number of Ultramagic balloons. He also flies a large Ultramagic ride balloon as a commercial pilot when time permits. He is a good friend and customer of Tim and has visited the factory on a number of occasions as well as being a regular attendee of the European Balloon Festival in Igualada.  Richard will be attending the first UK meeting of the year – The Icicle – in early January along with Tim, Hilary and Paul.

We welcome Richard to the worldwide Ultramagic team and wish him every success with Ultramagic. We feel confident that he can continue to give the high level of customer service and support that has been established in the UK over the last 12 years.

Richard lives in Basingstoke midway between London and Southampton. He is married to Lisa and they have two young boys (8 and 6), Oliver and Matthew.

He went for his first balloon flight when he was a child back in 1988 and has been involved in one way or another with balloons and airships ever since.

He bought his first Ultramagic balloon an M90 in 2004 and recently acquired his first Racer  complete with Powerplus burner and light weight basket. Richard also has a new Tekno bottom end so he has access to all types of Ultramagic equipment to demonstrate to potential customers.  He is also a commercial Pilot and currently flies an Ultramagic N300. Richard will also be taking over the Ultramagic UK website in due course.
